At least they wore a “mask”!

“Transportation officials in the UK have warned commuters not to use live snakes as face coverings, after a bus passenger was spotted with a large reptile wrapped around his head.

“While there is a small degree of interpretation that can be applied to this, we do not believe it extends to the use of snakeskin — especially when still attached to the snake.”

I’m just surprised this wasn’t Texas.

It’s raining iguanas

I wonder if the app on my phone has an iguana emoji on the weather report?

Why didn’t I think of that?

I can’t believe I never thought of doing this. I’ve tried wearing 4 layers of clothes but this one never occured to me!

Well, that’s a relief

While looking through CNN headlines, I often notice articles sandwiched in between news of war and sickness, such as this one.

Was this really a thing? Or was the reporter just out of ideas and repeated something someone said at a party? It seems you could write a lot of articles this way:

Peanut Butter Hedgehogs not actually a Snack in Belgium

New Boss at New Jersey Target Rumored to be Alien from Neptune

Not only do I wonder how this made the front page of a well-established news agency, but also, is this how stupid the world is becoming?

Rumors of Increasing Number of Gullible Morons are Unfortunately True

Killer robots in the news again

An opinion piece on CNN is titled “Should we fear killer robots?”

Yes.

It does seem like a no-brainer because of the adjective “killer.” If this headline said, “Should we fear killer dolphins?” or “Should we fear killer hedgehogs?” my answer would be the same.

Buried news

With all the government news lately, I’m starting to feel that we might be losing focus on what’s happening in other fields. On CNN today, there was a list of stories all having to do with governmental issues, except for one buried right in the middle. Do they expect us to glance over this, because it’s the only one that really caught my eye.

You see it too, right?

After reading the article, I understand that it’s about growing specific human organs in pigs for organ transplant and not, as this avid Doctor Who viewer originally thought, a race of pig slaves. That was a relief. I wasn’t ready for a Dalek invasion right now.

Not sure the news is real anymore

CNN, front page.

  1. It’s not a real person, though maybe now Linda Carter can take over the UN if she wants.
  2. Why doesn’t the UN just have the Justice League solve all our problems then?
  3. Is this our future, when one of the most powerful organizations in the world start naming fictional characters as ambassadors? Can we vote for Papa Smurf for President of the U.S. now?

I’m going back to bed.

Prince hit by snowball

This headline was on CNN top stories. It was the only story I clicked on to read. However, it was not what I thought, but just a piece about Prince William of England playing in the snow with his family.

Of course it wasn’t what I thought. No one would ever do that to Prince. He’s awesome!

Our short attention span

On CNN yesterday.  Is this really the only way to get people interested in economic news these days?
